I went for dinner Friday night this week to Pizza & Cie in St-Jovite. They did a great flat crust pizza that was every bit as good, if not better, than the Pizza on the mountain. The prices are a fair bit lower, ranging from $8 for a small simple pizza to $14 for a large pizza with many toppings. But what really makes this spot a great deal - EVERY FRIDAY AFTER 5PM, PIZZAS ARE 2 FOR 1. AND YOU DON'T NEED TO ORDER EXACTLY THE SAME PIZZA. I also noticed they have a 35cent wing night and hockey game broadcast on Tuesdays. Are there any other GREAT specials out there we should be aware of and when figuring out were to dine?

Hi Glacier ...
Firstly, thanks for your question and I want to apologize for missing your first message a few weeks back. If you review that thread, I did eventually respond, but the delay was my fault for not checking the board thoroughly enough. That was a beginners error on my part which I hope to never repeat.
Now, back to your Q ....
The only pizza place we have personally eaten at is the one in old Mt. Tremblant village. Truth be told, it's been about 3 seasons since then, so I can't say for certain if it's still there but if it is, it was very good.
We are a family on a budget, we tend to eat at home, but ....
Some pizza places I know of in St. Jovite are ... Antipasto ... their specialty is pizza from their wood burning brick oven, La Petite Cachee' ... where they have "unique" pizza (I'm assuming that means unusual toppings) Le Sentier Du Village ... Take out pizza and Thai ... now there's a combination for you .... Le Vieux Four .... Eat in or Take out from their woodburning brick oven.
I'm not sure of the specials offered, so ...
I am going to check with a couple of my friends who should know and I will add their answers here.
Slight change of topic ....
How did you find the skiing... ??? What runs did you find best ... ???

While I'm waiting for a couple of answers on this one, I thought of something else ....
With all due respect to the Restaurant Industry, there are quite a few changes from year to year, so if nothing else, we will have fun "researching" to keep up with where all the best places and specials are ... !!!!

I found another great deal. Cafe Guacamole, tucked into a hidden spot at the Petit Hameau pedestrian mall offers 2 for 1 Fajitas on Thursdays. Considering their beef Fajitas are only $12 (already way cheaper than on-mountain burritos at $18), this is a great deal. Pay only $12 for what would cost $36 at Caseys!!! They also offer 2 for 1 breakfast burritos on Sundays. So, here's what we have so far: Monday: ? Tuesday: 35 cent wing and hockey night at Pizza & Cie Wednesday: Thursday: 2 for 1 Fajitas at Cafe Guacamole Friday: 2 for 1 Pizza and Pizza & Cie Saturday: Sunday: 2 for 1 Breakfast Burrito at Cafe Guacamole Probably not too many deals out there for Saturdays, but I'm sure some restaurant in St-Jovite or Old Mont Tremblant (Lac Mercier) village are offering great specials on Monday or Wednesday night.

Hi Glacier ... Thanks for all your efforts on this thread ...I got tired of waiting for e-mail replies on the pizza specials from other places, so I ended up calling a couple of them and basically the replies I got are that they "always" or "usually" have something on special. One example is Ya oooo Pizza-Bar at the resort .... Choose from a variety of pizzas and side dishes and dine in or grab a pizza to go. Beer specials are offered daily from 3 to 5pm. Specials probably change from time to time so one option for those staying locally is to use the phone book and call. One would also hope that the phone book will be, for the most part, the most accurate source of restaurant specialties. Just for the fun of it, I went through the first 7 or 8 google pages for Tremblant restaurants and I was quite surprised and disappointed in the lack of on-line info. Glacier, your summary here is already better than most of the on-line sites. Once again, Tremblant visitors either have to be willing to explore like Glacier, or use the phone book. Hopefully, this thread will continue to accumulate additional useful experience.
