We welcome any Questions from the U.K. as we've had years of experience hosting our U.K. friends personally.
As descendent's of the family of Lord Selkirk who came to Canada and founded what is now the city of Winnipeg, we feel we are related.
In that sense, everyone from the U.K. should feel right at home here in Canada, as the single largest group of Canadians are of English decent, not to mention that as a Commonwealth Country, we share The Queen, Our form of Government and Law as well as much of the cultural basics that you will find familiar.
Figuratively, and in many cases, literally, Canadians are your cousins and as such we take great delight in welcoming you here ... !!!

You won't believe this but we had a snow storm here in England! very unusual for this time of year. Last night some parts of the UK got a whole 5cm! and just 2 days after the massive Metro London Ski Show. We are really getting ready for our winter ski vacations!! Speaking of the London Ski Show, the biggest ski show of all at present, Quebec was very well represented, Mont Tremblant, Mont St Anne & Tourism Quebec had a large stand at the exhibitors village with lots of potential visitors seeking information on the ski areas of Quebec. Tourism Quebec really went all out they had a very impressive area where you could have your photograph taken with Huskies and St Bernard dogs and also enjoy a maple taffy all the way from Quebec, they were really drawing in the crowds and promoting the province as a magical winter destination. It's no wonder Tremblant is seeing more and more visitors from Europe and will continue to do so with the efforts these guys put into representing at this show and all the many others. Well I'll sign off Hoping you enjoy the white stuff over there!! CMG

Hi CMG ...
Thanks for your post on the London Ski Show ...
What a neat co-incidence that it actually snowed in the U.K. with such perfect timing ... !!!
There's nothing like a good snowstorm to motivate Winter Sports Fans ... !!!
With the current "economic" situation, just wondering what your thoughts might be on the possibilities of there being "Buyers Market" opportunities and how U.K. Ski/Board Travelers can take advantage of that this season at Tremblant?

Hey QikTurnz
It's difficult to say right now if we will see fewer visitors from Europe visiting Tremblant this winter as a result of the 'economic downturn' with the record breaking snowfall of last season and good exchange rates, I think we can be hopeful that Tremblant is still high on the list of destinations for European Skiers & Boarders this season. Confidence in all markets is low at the moment including the Travel Industry, it seems people are just 'waiting to see what happens' ... as for this winter being a 'buyers market' there are no signs of that yet however there are always good deals to be found if you shop around!
